Watercolors:

Watercolor is a paint that uses water-soluble gum arabic as a binder. These colors are generally used in transparent layers giving the painting a freer, lighter feeling overall. All my watercolors are executed on 100% acid free cotton archival paper or board. Not quite as rugged as oil paint, watercolors are traditionally matted and framed under protective glass. I recommend a UV coated glass to reduce fading and available at most frame shops. Although I only use high quality materials and pigments, all paints are subject to fading if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time. << Back to Gallery
